John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a lot of people through his music. Many of these are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Germandorf from Roswell near New Mexico, fell in Love with Colorado. The place he settled was Aspen. Denver's popular songs about his state brought many people to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the curator of this hall of fame said: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado in the same way as John Denver." Denver was the very initial Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Many consider Denver to be the Colorado image. People you meet in other countries, like New Zealanders and say "I come originally from Colorado" And they instantly reply with Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo performer after a brief period in small folk ensembles. Danoff composed the track with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear the song's early versions and was aware that it was going to be one of the Top 10 hits. Following the performance in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver recorded it just days afterward.
